Certificate in French Language CFL
The Certificate in French Language Programme aims to introduce the French language to beginners and gradually build up skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking, simultaneously developing intercultural competence. The programme is developed around the textbook Connexions, Methode de francais and based on the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Language) used for international standardization of pedagogy of European languages around the world.
The book is being supplemented with additional self-study materials developed by IGNOU in the form of user manuals with a study guide, exercises on grammar plus CDs for developing spoken language skills and pronunciation. The significant feature of the programme is that materials have been prepared both in English-French and Hindi- French to be accessible to a large number of learners. This makes them have a choice of opting for either of the two media, as per their linguistic background.
–The programme is of 12 Credits, each credit amounting to 30 hrs. of total study time.
Eligibility: 10+2 and 18 years of age (minimum)
Medium of Instruction: English & Hindi
Duration: Minimum 6 months and Maximum 2 years; offered in both January & July cycle of admissions.
Fee Structure: Rs. 6,600/- for full programme
